She wraps us in ice
Chilling us to our bones
She lets us deeply slumber.
She gives praise to the Sun
And reason for fire
Her reign, she knows, is ephemeral.
She drives the Moon mad
Relaxing bed time rules
Causing space wars with the Sun.
She knows she is ageing
As she passes the baton
To the stronger, harsher youth.
She will snatch the Sun's glory
And carry it to her grave
Where she will lie in wait.
For she will be resurrected
She will rule once more
This time, with added vengeance.
